libi18n-charset-perl software package provides Perl module for mapping character set names to IANA names, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libi18n-charset-perl
libi18n-charset-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libi18n-charset-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libi18n-charset-perl *
You will get with libi18n-charset-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
